Sarah Benson is Women’s Aid Chief Executive Officer. Women's Aid is a leading national organisation that has been working in Ireland to stop domestic violence against women and children since 1974.
Jean-Philippe Imbert lectures in Comparative Literature and Sexuality Studies in SALIS, Dublin City University, where he works on the aesthetic treatment of evil, trauma or perversion. He runs EROSS@DCU.
Dr Julie Rodgers is Associate Professor and Subject Leader in French at Maynooth University. Her research encompasses contemporary French and Francophone women's writing and film, maternal counternarratives and Quebec literature.
Dr Rita Sakr is Assistant Professor in Postcolonial and Global Literatures in the English Department at Maynooth University; she has published on contemporary Arab literature and human rights, among other topics.
Ailbhe Smyth is an Irish academic, feminist and LGBTQ activist. She was the founding director of the Women's Education, Resource and Research Centre (WERRC). In March 2022 she was amongst 151 international feminists signing Feminist Resistance Against War: A Manifesto, in solidarity with the Feminist Anti-War Resistance initiated by Russian feminists after the Russian invasion of Ukraine. In 2022, she was awarded the freedom of Dublin city.
